About the Role

Under the guidance and supervision of a senior level engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspections of building, parking garages, walkways, and other structures using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with specifications. Determines and documents the cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Performs destructive testing. Develops drawings or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. In addition, provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damage to the structure by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
• Structural Analysis
• Review structural designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Analyze site conditions, materials, and structural components.
• Project Management Assistance
• Collaborate with Senior Engineer or Project Manager to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Travels to and/or from jobsites throughout the state and, if necessary, other states.
• Construction Oversite
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design and construction specifications.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address any issues or modifications required during the construction phase.
• Technical Documentation
• Prepare photo matrix and reports of structural and architectural deficiencies.
• Prepares and designs documents, project specifications, drawings, protocols, cost analysis, etc.
• Pays application and changes order review.
• Quality Assurance
• Maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of engineering practice.
• Collaborate with multiple team members to foster a positive and productive working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering. • Engineer in Training (EIT) working towards Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Three or more years experience in structural engineering is a plus. • Driver’s License required.
